This was a tuffy but I eventually found a link...Helen indicates that she was friends with the several former Presidents, including both Roosevelts. It is Franklin Delano Roosevelt that is the key. Roosevelt was a great friend of the newspaper and film magnate William Randolph Hurst. Hurt hired John Emerson to write the script for Getting Mary Married(1919). John Emerson wrote and directed His Picture in the Papers (1916) starring Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. at Triangle Pictures
